How do I recreate the special "My Videos" user folder?

The "My Videos" user folder is no where to be found so I want to recreate the same folder that once existed. This is one of those special "User Folders" that has the "Location" tab in the folders properties. As you can see in my screenshot of the window that displays after clicking on Start and entering "shell:UsersFilesFolder" in the search box, the folder is missing altogether.

Is there an easy way to create one of these special folders?

Just make a video folder anywhere and add it to the Videos library (right click on said folder).

I tried option 1 using the Shell command "shell:My Video" and nothing happens which leads me to believe the folder no longer exists.

Options 2 & 3 don't apply since the folder no longer exists.

When I try the "Manual Method", I get to step 4 and confirm the default location is what it should be (see screenshot) so it tells me to go to step 7 which is to close regedit, which doesn't change anything.

That doesn't accomplish the goal of creating the same special user folder with the Location tab in the properties though.

That is correct. But if you plan to have the folder at a particular location (e.g. another HDD), create it there and then include it into the library.

in WMP, right-click the Videos option in the left-hand panel..
- you can add the directory from the "Manage Videos library" option there..

Try adding a My Videos folder, if that is the original name, and right click and select "restore previous".

If that doesn't work try the next level up, but it might replace the others as well.

I just used the Shell command "shell:UsersFilesFolder" again and the folder was mysteriously back! I have no clue how this was resolved...very strange.

Thanks everyone for your efforts!
