Hi.
Ever since I got Windows 7, Windows Live Messenger has been acting up.

If I start it five times, it will crash four times out of five (before even starting), and I have to restart it until it doesn't crash.
-When it finally starts I have no problem with it, though.

Every time it crashes Windows tells me that it is searching for a solution to the problem, but never finds one.

I have tried updating WLM to latest version, and I've run Windows Update nearly every day. -I am up-to-date, and this problem is still here.
I have asked on other forums but this problem doesn't seem to occur to everyone, strangely enough.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Welcome to SF,

I suspect it might be a bad install !! I would recommend to uninstall using Revo Uninstaller (free version) in that there is a something called Hunter Mode it will wipe out all the entries completetly then Download Windows Installer Cleanup and make sure Windows Live Messenger is not in the list if you find it remove it. Then reboot the System and download a fresh copy of WLM and install it.

Hope this helps,
Captain
