How to Change Bluetooth Service Settings

Can the services settings for the Bluetooth be adjusted so that I can receive standard Microsoft Office documents and PDF files?
At the moment I can only receive photos.

Depend of the bluetooth software installed in your machine...Tell us a little more.

You should have a kind of "Exchange Service" for vCard, vNote, vMsg...Calendar
and a tab mentionning "Syncronize Informations".....

Where can I find what Bluetooth software is installed?
We have two laptops, a Dell and an Asus
The Dell is fine, it can send and receive.
The Asus can only send.
When I try and send from the Dell to the Asus, the message 'no services found' comes up.
When I right click the Asus device in the Dell 'Bluetooth Devices' and select properties, the Services tab has the following listed:

• Audio Sink
• Audio Source
• Headset
• Headset Audio Gateway
• PCCS
• Remote Control
• Remotely Controllable Device

All of which are checked.

The Hardware tab has the following 'Device Functions' listed:

• Bluetooth AV (Device working properly)
• Bluetooth AV Remote Control Target (No drivers Installed for this device)
• Bluetooth AV Source (Device working properly)
• Bluetooth Headset (Device working properly)
• Bluetooth Headset AG (Device working properly)
• Bluetooth Remote Control (Device working properly)
• Bluetooth SyncML (No drivers Installed for this device)

So bluetooth is already pre-install (built-in) on your machines?

Does those Red mentionned when you're in device manager allowing you to update the drivers or simply do they tell it doesn't need loading drivers for those?

Have a look in your "Services" in "Administration Tools", control panel to see if all related to bluetooth are set manual or automatic and are start/stop....

Had the weekend to do some investigation.......
Right click the Bluetooth icon in the Asus Notification area and there are two additional options;

• Send
• Receive

When Receive is selected the Dell is able to locate the Asus Bluetooth Services and transfer files........ simple really, only wish this was described somewhere in the ops manual!
