Belkin F5D7000 v1000 in 7 64-bit

Hi, I've got a Belkin F5D7000 v1000 with a Broadcom chipset. Was wondering if anyone here has been able to get this card working in 7 64-bit?

Hopefully someone here knows of a solution, but I'm not seeing Vista or Win7 drivers for any versions of the card earlier than v4000: Belkin Australia : Support : F5D7000 Wireless G Desktop Card - Driver

Hi yezza have you tried Broadcom direct? I know that they release drivers MUCH quicker than Belkin do, I have this issue myself with a Belkin USB stick, mine is Ralink though.

If you can post the long model number on the stick (it should start with a K i think) then i might be able to find chipset drivers for you and we can "hack" them into working with win7 like i did with my Ralink ones. No promises though

The only thing I can see that starts with a K on the chip is the FCC ID, which is K75-F5D7000A. There are lots of other numbers, too:

version 1134

On the silver chip, there's a number on the bottom right corner: P81552-A

On the Broadcom chip are the following numbers, each on a separate line:

BCM4306KFB (note: can't tell if that 6 is a 6 or an 8... almost positive it's a 6 though, and don't have a magnifying glass to confirm)
HG0410 P30
715208 N

All I see on the Belkin site is your V1000 card only supports 32 bit version: 1xxx, OS compatibility: Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP 32 BIT, Windows 98 SE

You would need either a V7xxx or V8xxx version for 64 bit support using Vista 64 drivers.

there is something very fishy going on here... every single driver for that chipset is offline =/ how odd... and broadcom dont seem to have it.

By the way, yeah i did mean the FCC ID I couldn't remember the name but you provided me with the info i needed anyway in the broadcom bit. thats the chipset number. Ill keep looking and get back to you if i find something

Im really sorry... looks like you might be out of luck. Time to upgrade perhaps?

I posted a solution on these forums yesterday for the Belkin card, but now I can't find it.

You need to use the list of built in drivers.

Oddly, Win 7 has the driver for the RT2500 (Its the chipset that the bekin uses) but it doesn't recognise it.

Get to Device Manager, Right click, -> Update driver -> Browse -> Let Me Pick -> Network Adaptors -> RaLink Technology INC. (last one) -> then look for RT2500.
And your done!
