Annoying Internet Explorer 8

Hello, I am wondering if I can COMPLETELY UNINSTALL internet explorer 8. I do not mean going into 'programs and features' and disabling it as a feature. The files are still there, and programs still use internet explorer. I would like to Completely replace it with firefox so that there are no files left of internet explorer. I am wondering if I can do this/force it upon my system?

You can disable and hide

Go to search type window features on or off

Go in there and uncheck IE.

Get another brower first, you cannot go online without one. That is all you can do, you cannot uninstall.

'Go to search type window features on or off' ...This will not work...I have tryed it. Internet Explorer is still there...

I would like to get rid of every trace of IE , and replace it with firefox.

Thankyou anyways...hmm...in windows vista you could get rid of internet explorer by uninstalling it as a feature, but in windows 7, you can only disable it...

yeh...it cannot be uninstalled...which is why I named this post 'annoying internet explorer 8' ...lol
