Get your original motherboard driver disk and run it to detect and install devices that are on your motherboard
Let it "autorun"

Have you tried rolling back the driver? If you had it operational you may be able to retrieve everything with a System Restore or uninstalling the driver and network adapter in Control Panel. If you have CCleaner and Drivesweeper I'd run those removing anything associated with network. I'd say download them if you don't but you probably can't get on the net w/o a network card.

hi chasemo you could try a repair install http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html you will not lose any of your files or programs ;)

Pebbly is right, w/o a restoration point and the inability to roll back or load a driver your best bet is to do a repair install following the link Pebbly left.

okay i tried the asus drivers and i tried to do a install repair but it never gave me the option it wouldn't even let me do a full re-install. I changed my boot options and did boot from disk and with the windows disk and the repair disk it searches for windows versions and takes me to the system recover options.

i think all i need is the network controller driver for windows7

Try to see if you can use recovery manager to install the individual drive it had factory installed. Should be in advanced options.

i've given up and reformatted, but now i can't install any my 3 windows versions xp 32 and 64 and 7 64. All of them give me some kind of error the 2 xp versions give me a blue screen. I'm going to get my old graphic card from my parts closet at my dads because i've done some reading since i'm using a radeon card on a sli mobo it might be the problem. If this fixes it i'll be sure and remember to post the results

im sure that could be a problem , try your old gfx card and see how you get on ,also try reinstalling the OS with minimal devices attached and only 1 stick of ram [if its a least 1gb] see how you get on ;)
