Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I've already enabled small memory dump in the Startup and Recovery settings. The directory is also the default one "%SystemRoot%\Minidump. But after I crash my system with installing SPTD 1.69,the folder is always empty.

I wanted to ask for help since I couldn't install SPTD on my computer. In the installation process, when I restart my PC as required,I get a BSOD before the login screen would appear. Now I wonder whether windows is able to record that error in a minidump file.

What? You want to install sptd.sys version 1.69. It's known for causing BSOD. Please remove it.
Are you running Ccleaner, if so, please enable it not to clean everything in minidump folder

Then what about sptd 1.62? I get the same problem with it too as I install Daemon tools, with which installs sptd 1.62 along

Yes I have ccealner, but of course I didn't use it after crash,so I guess nothing had been "cleaned".

Virtual CD program such as Deamon tool or Alcohol 120% are known for causing BSODs, and sptd.sys is the component of it. Sometime sptd.sys is blamed directly from the minidump. Sometime it wasn't blamed but removing it solved the problem. We don't know for sure if it caused yours, but it would be best if we can have your minidump file.

You might have your ccleaner schedule turn on, there are few reasons for not having minidump files. You said you have activated it from the system setting-->only option now is Ccleaner....or do you actually have BSODs???
