I suggest you check Add/Remove Programs to confirm that there are no versions of J2SE Runtime Environment or Java updates prior to Java(TM) 6 Update 20 on your computer.

In addition, I suggest that you clear the Java cache, instructions at How do I clear the Java cache?

I suggest you check Add/Remove Programs to confirm that there are no versions of J2SE Runtime Environment or Java updates prior to Java(TM) 6 Update 20 on your computer.

In addition, I suggest that you clear the Java cache, instructions at How do I clear the Java cache?

This makes me ponder. Does Oracle publish what types of fixes/updates are in the updates? I don't know how much is security and how much is new API/functionality.

This was the last update!

Personally, I don't trust the Java Update mechanism and manually download the updates as soon as they are available. Even though I have known there is an update, when launching the Control Panel and clicking the "check for updates", I have always received the "no updates" message.

This Java threat reared its ugly head again. This time I saw it as I was browsing in my 32 bit browser. The console pops up and I can't close it out.
