Assign a drive letter to digital camera?

Hello !
Is it possible to asign a drive letter to a "digital camera"?

I can't find the option, and can't find any solution on the web

What brand and model number is the camera?

My little mp3 player has two different settings for the type of connection, MSC and MTP modes. With one I get the drive letter; with the other one I don't. Essentially it switches the device from using merely a transfer protocol to using a storage protocol.

Of interest:

USB mass-storage device class

Particularly see the part at the bottom under "See also":

I bet if you figure out which mode your camera is in now and switch it to the other one it will work.

Well actually it's an iPhone, but windows recognizes it as camera, so every time I add a file, it warns me I might not be able to use it.

Not having an iPhone I can't try it myself.

They claim it "Allows you to use your iPhone as a flash drive / pen drive or put your iPhone into disk mode".

It really does allow that, but what I need is a drive letter because it's the only way to associate it with other programs.
if it doesn't have a drive letter windows just recognize it as a camera

I don't have an Iphone so this might not be relevant.

However, my phone has 2 modes,for connecting to a PC

"Software mode"
and "Mass storage mode"

Does the Iphone have the same? Mass Storage allows the PC to see it as a Mass Storage Device (Like a SD Card) and gives it a letter. With Software mode only the Phones software can see it.

Obviously if it doesn't help then pretend I was never here

Did you try it? (As I said before, I can't.)

I would think that "disk mode" would give you a drive letter.

I tried, it lets me browse the iPhone's files using the "Explorer" but doesn't assign a letter
