When I close the lid of my laptop, and then reopen it sometime after, the screen is black. Power light is on, I can here sounds, such as plugging in a usb device, but is black. I just restart it and its back, but I shouldn't have to do that every time. What do ya think?

Sounds like a power setting. Try this, type power options in start search (in the start menu), click on it. Click on change what plan does under select a power plan. Find power options and lid, and expand it. Change the lid setting to do nothing when its closed.

See if that helps any :)

Update your display driver to latest.... and post back the results..
