    My headset microphone not working

    Hello,

Recently I bought a Turtle Beach Earforce X12 headset. And the sound works fine but when I tried out
the Microphone nothing happened, like it wasn't there. I have updated my drivers several times tried but no success. When I go to Recording section in Sound, it shows the microphone as a default device but when I click on it there is a red light not a green light

The first thing I see is you do not have the correct RealTek sound driver (what Gigabyte shows for this model) installed. All you have is the generic, basic function, Windows installed High Definition Audio Codec driver.

Install the RealTek driver from the Gigabyte downloads for your motherboard as the first step.

It does not appear you have the correct AMD driver installed for your video card either. Go to www.amd.com and download and install the correct driver.

Considering the sound and video do not have the correct drivers, you need to take a look at all the drivers. Gigabyte provides an install disc with all the drivers and apparently that was not used. However, DO NOT install the Gigabyte EasyTune program, if its on the disc as that is known to cause problems. (EasyTune6 was supplied with my Gigabyte motherboard)

One other comment. I seriously doubt that you have 1TB of RAM (Memory). That is probably the size of your hard drive.

I posted the link to AMD for the Video card drivers.

The Gigabyte motherboard comes with a CD that has the drivers. If you have that, you can use the driver from that. If not go to www.gigabyte.com for your motherboard and there are driver downloads.
