0xc00000e9 error, Unable to boot to windows, help?

I followed step by step. Used the older version even. No juice.

Do you have a DVD drive? If so write it to a CD and boot from the CD. You don't have a lot of options since you can't boot into the OS.

Other than the 0xc00000e9, what error message are you getting with it? It will usually list a problem along with the error message. Do you have the installation DVD or a repair CD you could boot from?

I mentioned that in post #2. I am pretty certain with that error code and that message, you have a bad hard drive. You could use a portable DVD drive. Maybe you have a friend who has one you could borrow, but they are pretty inexpensive. That is what I use. I don't have a DVD in my computer. I rarely use one. They just plug into a USB port.

Is it possible to get the repair disk on a USB?

I would suggest if you are going to do that, create a Windows 7 Installation Disk on a USB drive. The installation disk will do anything a repair disk will do plus you will be able to Install Windows. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2432-usb-windows-7-installation-key-drive-create.html

If you haven't done it so far, I would suggest you get your personal files off that computer and on to an external source.

You may have other computer in your house and most certainly you have friends who do.

I suspect you will end up replacing the hard drive, but let's not go there now. Boot from the USB drive and on the third screen, in the bottom left you will see 'repair my computer'. First try running startup repair. You may need to run it 3 times with attempted reboots into windows between each time. It will try to re write/restore/repair any missing boot files. If you are using the repair CD this will tell you how, it is really the same http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html.

You cannot install Windows from a recovery CD, but you can try to repair your computer. With an Installation DVD you can repair your computer the same as a recovery cd will, but you can also install windows with it.

Okay, well now my computer is accepting the usb but is hung on the line "SYSLINUX 6.03 EDD 2014-10-6 Copyright (c) 1994-2014 H.Peter Anvin et al _ < Flashing i mounted it with YUMI with the unlisted iso GRUB.

What are you trying to run? Seatools, Repair disk, installation disk? Are you doing it from an ISO or from a disk?

Trying to run repair disk, running from iso. using YUMI with the unlisted iso with GRUB

Here is the easiest way I know of. If you don't have it, download 7 Zip (free) 7-Zip. Watch out for any add ons they throw in with it. in Computer highlight your USB flash drive and select Format, take the quick format and click restore device defaults. Highlight the ISO file, right click it, and put your cursor on 7zip, you will get an expanded menu from there, select extract files, in the search box go to your USB drive and select it and press OK, it will start extracting the ISO files to the USB drive. It will take maybe 1-2 minutes. When it finishes, it will be bootable. I just tried it and it works just fine.
