0xc00000e9 error, Unable to boot to windows, help?

Hi there, I am totally unable to go into my os, and am getting stuck, similar to this,

Hey there,

My father's computer refuses to start. It's running Win7 Pro x64. When I attempt to start it up, it starts up the Windows Error Recovery program, suggesting that I launch Startup Repair, and allowing me to start Windows normally. In both scenarios, I get the same error. When I start normally, I get the Starting Windows text, then I get a solid white bar with Windows is loading files... above it. It fills up halfway, then I get Windows Boot Manager error 0xc00000e9: An unexpected I/o Error has occurred.

This computer is a stock Dell Inspiron 530s, with no new hardware devices added or removed in recent memory (other than starting from a USB stick once or twice, but not since I installed Win7 Pro x64 on here).

How should I proceed? Should I plug in a USB stick I have Xubuntu 9.04 on and backup all his files before I do anything?

If you are getting the 'Unexpected I/O error has Occurred' message, if you have a Mechanical Hard Drive please run Seatools for DOS http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/313457-seatools-dos-windows-how-use.html#Part3. Run both the short and the long test.

Okay, well. i dont know how im able to boot into seatools, im booting from the usb

Try tapping the Blue Thinkvantage button when you see the Lenovo boot screen. Select the USB and press enter. It should boot into the USB. If that does not work, go into BIOS and set the boot options for the USB key first boot device.

You are thinking of another lenovo computer because i dont have a thinkvantage key on my pc, The only different button is the novo one which gives me choice of going into BIOS and stuff, Is there a way that you could help me through this as this computer has my schoolwork and i DO NOT want to lose data, Thanks matt

Your dump file look like it could be the hard drive. I would back up your files to an external drive now. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93347-copy-paste-windows-recovery-console.html

After you finish that you can go into BIOS and set the USB as first boot device. After you are finished go back and set the DVD or hard drive as your first boot device.

The sad thing is. My computer being a tablet pc has no disk drive. So I can't. Is there another way?

Okay, For your suggestion of seatools, i have the dos version, and its on a usb that is showing up in the boot menu and is first in the boot order, my computer is totally avoiding it, its weird.

How did you write it to the USB drive? Is your laptop sata controller in BIOS set to AHCI mode? Did you extract the ISO file and rename the Seatools.ima file to Seatools.img file and select it when writing to the USB? The tutorial is step by step and will tell you everything to do.
