5.1 Codec for Windows Media Player on PC with two speakers?

Hi,

I have ripped my DVD collection to a media server, and to save space I only encoded 5.1 audio. I use Rokus and a software package called Roksbox to play the movies on our home theater system and our other TVs.

However, if I try to play them on Windows Media Player on my PC, I get video but no sound. I assume that's because the Media Player can't decode the 5.1 audio track. Is anyone aware of a codec I can install that will let me play 5.1 audio? I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I only have two speakers on my PC, but I assume that will still work like it does on our regular TVs (the Rokus on those TVs are set to 5.1 surround even though the TVs only have two speakers).

Thanks!
