I want to set up an ad-hoc, non-internet wireless network with a printer on one PC that allows others to connect, share directories and print wirelessly. I have a Linksys WRT54G that I want to use as the WAP and router to the ethernet printer or connect to the printer via USB and just use the Linksys as the WAP. Everything I read talks about hooking up to the internet; we don't want to do that. Possible? Can you walk me through the settings on the Linksys to receive clients and allow printing? Already have two main computers set up for Workgroup and the PCs share over a LAN connection, just need to take it wireless. Will be putting the Linksys on the PC with the printer and finding another solution to hook to the other PC.

(Don't think it matters, but both PCs are HP SFF Win7 Pro with on-board 1 Gigabit Ethernet)

Thanks!

You should be able to connect through the wireless router, whether it's connected to a modem or not. You set it up the same as if it was connected to a modem, just skip those steps. (I did it that way with a Belkin)
