All programs, including explorer, stop responding.

Hello and Thank you in advance!
Recently, on random occasions, all programs that are running become totally unresponsive, eventually stop working and have to be closed. This includes windows explorer. When this happens I try to use keyboard short cuts such as CTRL + SHIFT + ESC, however these don't work either. When trying to use CTRL + ALT + DEL, a weird error message mentioning user and login details pops up . I have run countless virus scans, checked my drive for errors and ran many "SFC / SCANNOW" commands, all of which brought up no errors. I know, however, chance of virus infection is still very real. If any one could offer me any ideas as too what could be going on, or advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi there, when pressing ctrl+Alt+delete takes you to the log in screen, from there it allows you to click on task manager if there are programs not responding which is very useful should you feel the need to use it, Can you tell me what virus scans you ran? Thanks

Hello, thanks for the fast reply!
Sorry I don't think I explained myself very well, when I click CTRL + ALT + DEL in this situation, the error message appears which tells me it cannot verify user details. It doesn't send me to the usual screen that it normally would. The error message tells me to press 'esc' if the operating system is not responding (Which does nothing) or reset my computer. I have tried opening task manager previous to this incident happening but it turns not responding as well.
The Virus scans I have ran are; Malwarebytes anti malware, ESET smart security and Microsoft Security Essentials. Thanks!

I have tried both of your suggested solutions.
I launched safe mode and everything seemed to be fine + I know from previously when I have ran anti-virus scans in safe mode that it is working fine. However when I logged in to the newly created user, explorer almost immediately stopped responding and I couldn't do anything once again.
Thanks!

Take a look in Event Viewer and see if a problem is showing up often.
Also take a look in Reliability and see what shows up.
Just use the Start Orb and type the two words one at a time should get you there.

From post #1
Recently, on random occasions
Are you doing the same thing when this happens.
Example:
Facebook, phone hooked up, printing, torrent ect.?
You could also try un-hooking all things you can from USB.

I've had a look on event viewer and have seen several events that happen just before my computer goes not responding.
Screenshots : The warning that seems to happen a lot is : http://i.imgur.com/ohPIeiK.png
My reliability page looks like this : http://i.imgur.com/qXuNe8S.png
As for what I am doing at the time, it's hard to say. Some of the time I have been playing games and some I haven't. The only thing I have been doing 99% of the time is watching a live stream on twitch.tv.
Thanks a lot for the help.

Try the following:

1. Click Start
orb.png

2. In the search box, type cmd
3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.

Unfortunately, "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".
Any other suggestions of how I might fix this?
Also, apologies for incorrectly sharing screenshots.

Did you or did you not complete Goldens suggestion?

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

From post #6

I have tried both of your suggested solutions.
I launched safe mode and everything seemed to be fine + I know from previously when I have ran anti-virus scans in safe mode that it is working fine
Things are okay in safe mode is a clue.

Another suggestion. You are not getting BSOD but this still might help.
By z3r010:
http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

It will produce logs and it explains how to post them here.
I will ask some friends to read the logs and see if they can find something.
Have you or have you not removed all unnecessary things plugged into the computer?
We need answers to our suggestions to guide us.
