So i am debating about switching out all my fans in my system since rebuild 2.0 is underway.

all my current case fan`s are corsair AF and SP fan`s currently...

Want to get some opinion`s on what fans i should upgrade to and what model fan`s you might recommend...

Case door: AF120`s x 2
HDD Cage: AF120`s x 2
Exhaust: af140
top of case / radiator top ( sucking air out of radiator ) sp120 x 3

As stated i am looking to switch over all my fan`s to noctua fan`s. I am just doing a pull airflow on my radiator corsair h110i

I have used Noctua fans for years. I don't remember the exact part numbers. All I do is use their web site to choose the fans for the need I have. I have never been disappointed.

I have never used the new industrial fans. One would have to use a fan controller because they can run very fast.

Noctua.at - sound-optimised premium components "Designed in Austria"!

Performance without a lot of noise is what Noctua is all about. My last build all the case fans are Phantek's and I'm also pleased with them. Of course the case is also Phantek's Primo.

I run all my fans 100% all the time so a quality quite fan is a must.

My last build is in My System Specs.

I took a serious look at the Cosmos cased before I chose cases. I like the looks of the Cosmos better.

I ended up choosing the Phantek's Primo.

What`s wrong with the Corsair fans ? I use them, they work great. I would just clean them up.

Noctua`s are fine, they`re just ugly :)

I am looking for best possible air flow i can get

If you mean that literally, then I assume noise is not an issue with you.

People who buy Noctuas generally do care about noise. There are other fans that push as much or more air, so you might be happier with them. Scythe Gentle Typhoons are excellent, but fairly rare. There are many versions of the Gentle Typhoon. Scythe Slipstreams are also well-regarded and probably easier to find.

As far as I know, none of the brown 120 mm fans spin above about 1500 rpm, so they aren't going to move air like a typical 3000 rpm fan would.

I've only used NF-F12 PWM Noctuas, both on a Noctua cooler and as a front intake. It is not designed to be an intake fan, but I use it for that purpose and am perfectly satisfied. Mine never spin above 875, even with Prime 95.

I have all of my BIOS fan controls set to the lowest possible noise settings, which you presumably would not do.

Here are some recommendations I've seen. I can't vouch for them because I have used only the NF-F12.

S12A with ULN adapter: probably the slowest spinning non-PWM fan made by Noctua. Good for exhaust. S12A Flex version is good if not blowing into filters. Flex version can be relatively noisy if used with a filter. There are 3 variations: PWM, ULN, and Flex. The latter 2 are 3 pin.

P12 non-PWM model: not particularly quiet by Noctua standards; won't spin under about 900 rpm; there is a PWM version. P12 is the best choice if there are no obstructions or filters.

NF-F12: intended to be mounted on coolers where static pressure is needed.

Here's some specs:

NF-P12 3-pin, 1300 max rpm; 1100 with LNA; 900 with ULNA
NF-P12 PWM 4-pin PWM, 300 to 1300 rpm; 900rpm max with LNA
NF-S12A FLX 3-pin, 1200 max rpm; 900 with LNA; 700 with ULNA
NF-S12A ULN 3-pin, 800 max rpm; 600 with LNA
NF-S12A PWM 4-pin PWM, 300 to 1200 rpm; 900 max with LNA
NF-F12 PWM 4-pin PWM, 300 to 1500 rpm; 1200 max with LNA

Nothing is wrong with them at the moment, but i have had to repair 2 of them. Where theybhad shorts in the cable but nothing to major. 1 of the 2 was one of my radiator fans , and the other was 1 of my hdd cage fans
