Anyway to disable Autoplay?

Use Panda USB Vaccine. It's free.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to only stop autorun files, not the windows autoplay feature.

They aren't quite the same. Disabling autorun files will keep the sd card (or usb) from opening its own files automatically. Autoplay, which is a windows feature, will still run, and tell you the options available every time you insert a removable disk. As for the windows fix, I'm not going to download and install it without knowing what it does. What is the link to the actual site, as opposed to the download link?

Not only is that for older versions of windows (XP, primarily), it fixes the autorun feature problem on older OS's. It was meant primarily to fix the ability of virus's and malware to install on your computer using the autorun.inf file on the device. This issue has been fixed on later OS's (like 7, which I have). And yes, I have read that article before.
