I have some senile parents and no matter how many times I try to explain why their mail is at 2pt font they always end up with the same "problem" after a month or 2.

Is there anyway to disable zooming abilities in windows 7? They most often find a way to zoom out to the tiniest possible font in outlook and browser. Would be awesome if there is some kinda system wide setting that I could have them disable this

Within the email client itself you can remove the 'Zoom' option from the ribbon bar - would that help solve the issue?
See Customize the quick access toolbar option.

No, I believe they are somehow managing to do CTRL+mousewheel or some other key combination for zooming. They are definitely not using the ribbon

Hmm. Thinking a bit outside the square then - there may be a mouse function setting you can turn off within the mouse driver software itself. Or even look a replacing the mouse with an older one without a scroll wheel?

I too have elderly parents who are computer users (God bless them) and sometimes you gotta think differently when addressing these type of issues.

Best of luck!
