Hi everybody,

Now i want to remove it but the application is not showing in start run appwiz.cpl / remove programs menu
I know i can remove the folder and all shortcuts but this is not a proper way i guess
I there anyway for me to be able to see this application in all programs so i can remove it correctly ? Or should i just remove the folder and clean my registry after?

Thanks in advance for any tips

XXAMP is also available as a not installable version. It is a standalone executable. It does not show up in the installed programs list. If you want to remove it, just delete it. The non-installed version does not make any changes to your registry.

I'm glad those programs worked for you :D
Thanks for the feedback!
I just had to use them myself because Java refused to update and throw all sorts of errors at me.

+1 to the advice of other posters. But also now and then you do find a program with an installer that doesn't register the uninstaller for add/remove. Sometimes they'll be a shortcut in the start menu folder for the app named "unwise.exe" or "uninstall.exe." In some cases the uninstall exe is just copied to the program files folder for the app with no shortcut.

Not very often, but I've run into it on occasion.

Following up on what Mike Connors and MilesAhead suggested, after you've manually deleted the program/app, do a 'Search' for any remnants of that program/app that might still be lurking on your system. If the search does find any related files or folders, you can delete them.

After this first search is completed, to make sure there aren't still any additional remaining files lurking, do additional searches, using any other key words you think might be associated with that program or file – like, for example, the name of the publisher.

PS: A word of caution: Occasionally, some of the files that will come up in the search may NOT be associated with the application you're trying to delete. If you're not sure, don't delete those files, because you might be deleting something integral to another file or application. You have to be very careful! However, if you do delete something by accident, fortunately, you can always recover it from the Recycle Bin when you catch your mistake.
