ATI Radeon HD 4650 Driver Help

Hey, so I have a ATI Radeon HD 4650, and it's been a good card, I have been liking it.
But yesterday I was playing my FPS I usually play online, and I can run it at 1280x960 on high settings with a minimum of 150 FPS. Now I can barely run it at 1280x720 on low and I can't even hit 100 FPS, it's doing this to me on all games..

My only guess is the drivers are extremely out of date or something?
So I downloaded this driver detective thing and it said it was, but I had to pay. I don't really want to do that, and I'm assuming Radeon releases the drivers for free?
So could anyone help me get the drivers for the Radeon HD 4650 on Windows 7.

Also just a side question, would over clocking my CPU and graphics card boost the performance?

for overclocking your cpu, you must fill more detail about your system specs. so we know how to tell u more.

I have a AMD Phenom II X4 925 Processor 2.80 GHz, 8.00 GB, 64 Bit. Do you need to know anything else?
Also I don't want to overclock my CPU, just my graphics card.

Also, after I installed that driver thing my comp went nuts, it switched to a 800x600 res then switched back to 1920x1080, does that mean the driver was installed?

if you want to know it installed well. check into your disk management.

The software will try to set your screen to the native resolution of your monitor so that seems right. If you don't like that resolution you can change it to something more your liking.

Note: You may want to disable the ATI Helper Service; it has been known to cause issues for many on Windows 7.

Yeah I guess it worked then. I have a HP Monitor, 23" I'm pretty sure the native resolution is 1920x1080 but what ever it didn't change res for nothing so I suppose it means it installed good. Now back to over clocking my graphics card, can I do it with the 4650?

you can push the graphics card but only when you have very good cooling to make up for the extra load you are putting on them. Do NOT immediately clock you card up to 1000mhz, work your way up and test system stability often, that is the smartest way to overclock.
