HD 4650 not detected after Windows reinstall

Hmm there is one last thing

My monitor is 1280x1024 and the desktop is shown fine, with the resolution set to 1280x1024
but when I go into a video game, the max resolution is onle 1280x960... which stretches the screen.
The aspect ratio option is fine, though,
anyone know why I cant select 1280x1024?
