Attempting to Get This Repaired

Okay, now I'm unsure of how to boot from a flash drive. I adjusted the BIOS so that the first priority is to "Boot from USB-FDD," but it doesn't seem to notice it... It just boots straight to the Startup Repair, bypassing even the failed startup that sends it there every other time.

Your motherboard might have it to boot from USB stick by choosing HDD. Then you might have to choose which HDD (USB Key in this case) in the bios too.

Many bios are different. You could read the motherboard manual or find it online if you need to.

Sometimes if you keep repeatedly pressing F8 as the computer is booting, you can choose there without altering the bios setting(s).

Okay, now I've run into a problem. It restarts several times during the installation, but each time it starts back up, it doesn't return to where it was previously. It seems to just be repeating.

That's how it normally installs.

I don't remember it restarting from the beginning each time, though, when I first installed it.

It starts over again completely at copying files stage?

Yep. Completely from scratch, each time.

Try setting bios back to boot from the HDD (not USB, the real HDD I mean.)

It is booting from the usb every time it restarts - better to use the pop up boot menu ( that is one time only) - or remove the usb after 7 installer has finished copying the files.

It's an educated guess. The install files should be on the HDD already now and Windows should continue installing.

Okay, I removed the USB and it's now on the "Completing Installation" stage. I think it's working—The only weird bit is that when I boot up, it shows for a second that I have three Windows 7 operating systems installed, because of when it was cycling. I may need your help to get rid of them after the install is done.

Type msconfig into start menu search box. Hit enter. Look at boot tab.
