audio problem

When I run different apps sometimes the audio is loud and clear but other times it's muffeled or subduded. Lots of times it sounds like birds chirping in the background. Any idea on what's going on and/or how to fix it? Thanks

hi and welcome to seven forums

most likely a driver issue. type device manager in search go to the audio device tab. Is your sound card there? does it have a yellow triangle on it?

If missing or yellow triangle you need to reinstall the driver

I checked in device manager and there showed no problems but there were duplicate "ATI HDMI" drivers listed. They were exact dups. Do you think I should completly uninstall one of them?
