Solved Back-to-back BSoD

About 10 minutes ago I was starting to experience back-to-back BSoD, making this thread in hopes another doesn't happen as I do so. I have no idea what is causeing it, but it could possibly be "Evga Precision X" I installed yesterday to improve my GPU cooling since "automatic mode" never goes above 30% fan speed.
It would nice to know if this program, or something else I don't know about is causing these events, and to stop the events from occurring more.

If it helps the first time, the screen went black for a minute and the system restarted itself, but mo video input was found until after I turned the PSU switch off for 30 seconds, then back on, starting the system 10 seconds afterwards.

Just got back from more crashes and experienced a "long-short-short" beep code, looking up the code for my motherboard says:
"Video Adapter Error: Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly."

I took out the HDMI cable, then put in the DVI-D and the system seemed far more responsive, could the HDMI be defective, and if so, would that cause back-to-back BSoD?

The Nvidia driver is the 306.97 version for a reason, any newer driver gives me vertical lines on the screen, as this driver does not, I wasn't the only one experiencing the issue and Nvidia fails to address it, also their drivers are a total mess currently from the recent GTX 500 series slaughter (320.18).

As per hardware, I got a beep code this morning after the second BSoD (long, short, short) which was the video adapter error I explained above. I put in the DVI-D cable and removed the HDMI cable, there hasn't been a BSoD since I did that which brings me to suspect there was some form of damage done to the HDMI port at some point yesterday when I used cans of compressed air to clean it out.
Also, with eVGA Precision X, temps under load for GFX stay under 65C under load with the fan at 50%, temps never go above 60C with the fan at 60%. Processor temps stay under 55C thanks to the Hyper 212.
There are also no overclocks done to the system, I'm not counting the factory OC done to the GFX card though.

All issues seem to be gone after switching from HDMI to DVI-D, so I'll mark the thread as solved for now.
