Solved Backing up and excluding a folder.

I usually use Macrium to image my SSD drive, but my user folder and some other important files are stored on my HDD. I want to backup all of those files except for my videos folder. Is there a free program that will allow me to do this and is there a way to do this with robocopy?

Hello Robo,

If you like, Windows Backup included in Windows 7 allows you to select or unselect folders of your choice to be included or excluded from the backup.

You could also use Microsoft's SyncToy or my own preference FreeFileSync (link in my sig).

Well I'm looking to image thr disk, not really back it up.

A disk image would include everything on the disk. There's not a way to exclude folders from an image.

I think you will be happy with it. The only issue I have is that it is being actively developed with a new version each month. You need to check the change log in case it changes the way you are doing something. This has happened twice with the way it handles versions.
