Hi mate,

I don't know whether this is the right section to post such topic or not, but I hope it is fine....

I want to know what is the best software used to recover lost partitions!

I'm still confused with many out there. Some users say Recuva is the best while others say Easeus is a way much better...

any idea??

any suggest is appreciated.

Thanks

@OP, as you already mentioned, Recuva is good. Another option is UnDeletePlus.

I find these tools totally useless. They recover things, mark them as in "excellent" condition, you save the file and all you get is crap that doesn't work.

I had an unbootable HDD where I had acidentally deleted partitons. All data was lost in an instant. The drive was not even touched after this incident until Recuva was run on it. It recovered some GBs of crap in "excellent" condition acc. to the program which never worked except photos.

If you delete a partition it can be undeleted. It is only lost if it is formatted over. Even the Clean command can be recoverable with PW Partition Recovery Wizard which works best. Use the boot CD.

I did not format it, just deleted partitions. I know data was still there, but don't know why these tools couldn't do much good to me.

I agree with you, my case the same as yours. None worked as I was expecting...

I tried Recuva, Easeus and Mini Partition wizard, and after long hours of waiting the result wasn't really good.

Yes, Easeus and mini partition wizard could undelete the lost partition, but data are useless "corrupted".

so far only images are OK by Recuva, but other files are not so much...

I've never seen the data be corrupt when Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard recovered a partition. Did you use the boot disk?

In the future keep your files backed up externally so you have a recent set in case of HD or other failure. Here is a modern automated way to do this with freeware:
Sync, Backup and Store your Files to the Cloud with Skydrive - Windows 7 Forums

Thanks for the advise. well, seems to me weird, too. I did the recovery inside the main drive then after all went to do it from the boot disk, but still no luck.

never mind, now I got things started from the beginning and luckily I made a backup just few months ago. although there is some missing stuff still unavailable, but it is fine for the time being.

Thanks again, mate.
