The other day my computer suddenly froze completely. When I restarted my system and opened Windows Messenger, more than half of the window was black. I later opened Mozilla and the link drop down menu was also black.

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

First step after a improper shutdown that displays issues for me is to run a secure file check, to make sure the improper shutdown did not result in damage to any core system files.

After that step I would then attempt to return to the default theme, by right clicking the desktop choosing personalize and clicking the first aero theme listed.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I did have a 3rd party theme installed prior to taking that screenshot. I also ran the system scan and reverted back to the default theme before taking that screenshot as well.

I reinstalled Mozilla and that seemed to fix it. But after reinstalling Windows Messenger it's still there.
