Black screen windows not genuine help please!

Click the start button and type regedit then press enter.

Press Ctrl+F to open the find dialog box and enter the filename into the box and click search. If any are found then delete the reference and search again until 'no results' appears. Once done try rebooting

I am able to run it I have it open

Is there anything showing for that file name in the services section?

Might want to try the regedit bit 1st

You can try installing kb971033 in safe mode. For that you need to have the windows installer service running (it normally doesnt in safe mode), you can use a small tool called Safemsi.exe to enable that feature easily.

Ok I have removed that virus now and done a reboot but still the same black screen with the message

I tried what you said Bill2 but it didnt work

I just want it to work normally

If you can boot into windows normally, run the update.

There have been many reports (including myself until I bought a copy of Windows 7 legit ) of complete re-installs required. If you have any documents/videos/music/pictures/downloads that you'd need to save you can do it to external media while in safe mode.

This process will completely remove all sign of the infection and allow for a clean OS, which you can then install all the available updates completely virus free

I have had success!!! I did a normal boot and I tried doing loads of things to have something appear and I randomly tried to extend the screen so connected my laptop to my tv and once I had done that the window to activate windows appeared and now its back to normal!!!
