Black screen with curser after login screen

A while ago my computer was acting weird. It would not let me go into this folder in the appdata thingy. So, I decided to restart. It took for ever to shut down, and booted back up and was working fine. That night, I went to turn off my computer but it was on the shutting down screen for about 2 hours, and sese its in my room, I could not sleep without it. So, it being 1 in the morning and me really wanting to go to bed I turned off the power strip.

Today, I went to turn it on, and it went to the login screen. I logged on, and it went to a black screen with the curser. I waited there for a little bit but it still wouldn't work. The weird thing is that the screen saver came up. I have tried safe mode, and everything. Any help?

Welcome to Seven Forums.
During boot up, press F8 to enter the Repair Options and select Startup repair and let it run.

I don't see that option. All I see is a screen asking me which operating system it I want it to boot up in.

Sorry, you'll need to repeatedly hit F8 during boot. Or if you can type in search, type msconfig, and click msconfig. In the window that opens select the Diagnostic Startup, apply, OK and reboot, this should bring the reapair options on the next boot.

Now, when I press F8 repeatedly, I get a screen with a blue box(not BSOD) that says Please Select a boot device. Its different from the one I was using before. I have pressed F8 multiple times and it stil does not work.

There is no error, it stops after I login. All I get is the background for the login screen, but on it.

Sorry, That was probably not specific enough.
After I go push system repair, I enter my language, and login. After I click enter for logging in I get no error, nor does it load or anything. All I get is this screen(the background picture to the login screen) and it does nothing.
