Is there any way to force websites (any website) to load and page-down normally and block infinite scroll - or whatever it's called. I don't know the word for it. The thing where you page down and you think you're at the bottom of the page but then more stuff keeps loading.

This is one of the stupidest designs in the history of the internet and makes my head explode because it has no useful purpose whatsoever. I need it to just stop.

Not that I know of. Infinite scroll (yes, it's actually called infinite scroll) is defined in the programming of the website itself and not as a characteristic of the browser that you can change at will.

It really serves a very useful purpose, it's used to page the contents of the website. Imagine that, without it, the page will have to load in its entirety for you to see anything. Take for example the Google images search result. Not having infinite scroll means that the whole result set will have to load before seeing anything. Considering the amount of results Google can get it will be a looooooong delay time.

The obvious alternative would be using a normal page scheme (next/previous/first/last/etc). Using one or the other or something else is a decision of the web designer that browsers can't change at will.
