Howdy folks.
I bought a 128GB Samsung SSD to use as my boot drive. I have 2 500GB HDDs, 1 is the boot drive, the other has just program installs and data. I installed the SSD and copied the boot drive to the SSD with Norton Ghost 15 (provided with the SSD). It appeared to copy properly. I unplugged the 2 HDDs and rebooted (so the SSD would be recognized as drive C
.
Boots, I log in, says 'preparing desktop' for about 30 seconds and then goes to the light blue screen with the 'windows not genuine build 7600' in the lower right.
I've done searches for solutions and none seem quite right for my situation. I plugged the other drives back in and changed the boot order in the BIOS so I can boot from the original bootable drive. Should I wipe and recopy the SSD?
As anyone, I'd hate to have to do a fresh install and reload everything. I tried booting the SSD with the windows disk and tried the 'Repair' option to no avail.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks in advance
