OK, here it is. This has been an ongoing and non-fatal annoyance since I put W-7 on about 6-mos ago. It happens when I 'tinker' around in my photo files. First thought it was just happening with photo files on my external Seagate H/D but see that is not apparently correct. Just put the Blue Screen program on a couple days ago and have had too incidents. I see the problem apparently is the same 'bug', but don't know what to do with it now...
Thanks Much

My debugger doesn't have the symbols for your dmp for whatever reason.

6 months ago, Windows 7 wasn't released to the general public. Did you download a copy of the RTM on Torrent? If so, do a clean install with an official version.

The torrented copy may also be the cause of your problem.

6-months was a guesstimate. It was within a month of when the first commercial w-7's were made available. It is a legitimate Windows 7 Ultimate disk. (32bit loaded)

Hello,

The Windows Debugging Tools aren't able to access symbols for your operating system files (in particular NTOSKRNL.EXE / NTKRNLMP.EXE / NTKRNLPA.EXE / NTKRPAMP.EXE) from the Microsoft Symbol Server - so that makes debugging them difficult. This happened because of the security update happen for Kernal which turns your build to GDR.

Please do the following:
- activate/validate the Windows installation at Genuine Microsoft Software
- run sfc.exe /scannow to replace any problem files
- open a support incident with Microsoft to see if they can fix the missing symbols issue ( Windows 7 Solution Center )
- If that doesn't fix it, then wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows

Hope this helps,
Captain

Cap; Is it the C drive that needs to be wiped and reloaded? (meaning nothing is 'resident' on the second [data] H/D or the external H/D)
Thanks!

I just read where System Mechanic Pro can cause that issue. As that is the simplest procedure I will delete it and see what happens now.
