Do you mean in the system recovery options? It's not appearing there and I'm unsure what to do pertaining to loading and installing drivers for the hard disks.

Check your ram.

Progress! I went ahead and reset my BIOS again and it worked. Now I'm at the system recovery options panel. I tried startup repair but it said my problem wasn't able to be fixed automatically. What else can I do?

Please inform as to the precise msgs displayed by the disk diagnostic program you used.

( make a note of what it says - particularly the letter it gives for the drive you installed win 7 on - post all that info up)

had same problem the last 5 days.win 7 repair option wouldn't work.with my toshiba laptop,recovery is accessed by holding down 0 key while starting.timing is everything.had to keep trying or error would pop up.today i did recovery using this method.computer wasn't working good and when it loaded windows today i created restore discs.the last one was windows recovery environment.i booted to it and it found and fixed startup problem it found and that fixed the boot error.i had option of toshiba recovery or system and i chose system recovery option.that error had me going nuts.

hi.my fix worked for a few hours and returned to \boot\BCD error.took laptop to staples.diagnostic said no problems with hardware.phoned toshiba as it was still under warranty.brought to another shop,they ran diagnostics and hard drive was toast.just got it back today and it's like new.strange how one diagnostic was ok but other found hardware failure.hope this helps.
