Solved Browsers not loading random websites

Hi,

I have 2 HP laptops one of which i bought recently named Pavilion DV6 and the other is a Compaq machine. Everything was fine until a couple of days back, issues starting cropping up - I have IE9, Firefox9 and Chrome in DV6 but all of these are not loading random websites (i noticed www.rediff.com is one of them) however i am able to access all websites (even www.rediff.com) at my Compaq machine without any issues. This is the scenario at my home internet network (high speed broadband)however at my office internet network (high speed broadband), the DV6 displays all websites perfectly...I am really annoyed and have tried all things but am not able to figure out where is the problem !!!

Giving a few details that might be helpful:
Config of DV6:
-Win7 Home Premium 64bit
-8Gb RAM
-IE9, Firefox9 and Chrome installed
Config of Compaq:
-Windows Vista 32 bit
-2Gb RAM
-IE8 installed.


A quick help would be greatly appreciated !

Hi...so many views but no help???...anyways, found the solution myself and want to share it so that others having the same issue might benefit...the problem was in the dns which was autoconfigured in the modem supplied by my ISP...I changed the set of DNS (Primary and Alternate) in the modem and now everything's fine as usual
The only thing that still puzzles me is that how come my Compaq was able to surf all sites....I guess this is why we say....Old is Gold....lol
