A driver was trying to return back to User mode, when it's IRQL (currently at Dispatch_Level) was greater than Passive_Level, it seemed to crash on your Avast program and this may be the problem.

Run Memtest86+ for least 9-10 passes, and preferably overnight as it can take a while to fully complete.

Test each RAM stick individually, if an error is found then move the same RAM stick into the next DIMM slot and test again, if errors are found for the same RAM stick in every available slot then you have a faulty RAM module. On the other hand, if no errors are found in the next slot or the other slots for the same RAM module, then you have a faulty DIMM slot.

Test each RAM stick and every motherboard DIMM slot available.

Uninstalled old ATI Radeon HD 4250 drivers and installed the updated new one
System seems more stable and better, performance wise? Is this just me? :o
Will test RAM overnight.

Random question as well,if it is not too much trouble
I had this system built for me and added a Creative SB Audigy 2 (WMD) from my old system. I have the logitech z5500 speakers.
I do not think I could ever find the exact updated drivers for it and it had never performed well as with my last computer...as well as the program seem to be missing features and I cannot get the middle channel speaker to work to save my life:eek:
Is there a forum or thread of info for any of this?
This site is the BEST thing I have found recently, thanks for all the help you have given me.

I was just coming to post here about the last 2 nights I have ran the Memtest86+ only to find when I returned to find the computer shut down completely.Once I noticed the scan ran 5 times the other not sure.
As I logged on here the computer screen went black and rebooted I was playing music in winamp and the speakers made that same noise like a blue screen started.
Once again thanks for all your help and the directions to the sound threads, can't believe I missed that :o

Have you ran MemTest86+? If so, did it manage to complete and show any errors whilst running?

Yes I ran it twice overnight no errors were showing it made 5 passes last night, the night before I do not know how many and the computer had shut down both times when I returned to it :(
I do not have it set to shut down

I will run the test again late this afternoon and watch a couple of movies and keep a close check on it then...thanks
