I have just recently built this PC (first build) around the beginning of December 2015 and I have been trying and trying to solve my BSOD issue and I just don't know enough to do it on my own so I am asking for some help.

Anytime I restart/shutdown my PC about 95% of the time it will get hung up at the "Shutting Down.." screen and it sits there for about 10-15min then the BSOD pops up, does its thing and restarts my PC back to desktop.

I have followed the upload instructions and uploaded the .zip file that was created from the instruction page download. If needed I can upload the much larger (~600mb) MEMORY.dmp that was created as well from the BSOD.

Shall I do Mirror 1 or 2? I apologize, like I said previously this is all VERY new to me.

Edit: Oh I actually do have this downloaded BUT in the folder there is multiple others
Hotfix_X64
Hotfix_X86
Install

Those are all folders then under them (not in them) are AsusSetup.exe

Should I go into any of those? or just do the AsusSetup.exe?

Don't apologise for asking that's what this community is for!
The mirrors are of the same file eventually (in case one of them doesn't work for some reason).

Although I'm not a huge fan of Asus software, let's go ahead with their installation process.

  1. Run Asus Setup.exe the one located in the folders root directory

  • (meaning not inside the install or either of the hotfix folders).
2. once the installation is completed restart your PC.

3. Open the same folder once more but now run the Asus Setup.exe INSIDE of the Hotfix_X64
folder. Once that's done let us know.

Will do! Give me just one moment to do so and I will be right back!

Update: Ran the ASUSSetup.exe and I got this window (attached below), which doesn't mention updating or installing anything?

Let's try this one for a while.
Give it a few days and report back (or at least until the first BSOD).

10-4 I will give it a try, it's a gaming PC so honestly I don't usually turn it off or restart until I am getting off for the night. However my BIOS did just release an update 2 weeks ago I forgot to do. I can try to install that? It requires a restart so if it doesn't work and BSODs me shall I upload another dump?

The 0x9F bugcheck is all about power transitions (to simplify things a bit),
so do put your PC through those more than usual in order to test it's stability.
