Solved BSOD Driver_Power_State_Failure

So couple months ago i had a blue screen issue which was solved. (see thread). Today i had another blue screen, which leads me to believe that it might be the same or similar issue. Both were caused by ntoskrnl.exe. I running a memory test right now, but wont be able to see results until i get home later tonight. Could someone take a look at the dump file, and let me know what the possible cause is. Right now I'm speculating that it might be the Bluetooth USB keyboard adapter again.

Have you re-installed windows since the last time you had a BSOD? If so you may need to go through this tutorial again:

I took a look at the files from your first BSOD thread and this one and compared them they are almost identical but this time the files actually point out a bluetooth/usb device:

If this problem persists you may want to look into getting a new keyboard /mouse this one seems to be holding up I/o requests.

i did a reinstall last week updated to ssd, usb selective suspend has been disabled since 1st bsod. I will most likey buy another keybaord/mouse . the mouse was acting up yesterday losing connectivity on and off. Thanks for the help.

Instead of posting a new thread i will add to this one.

I upgraded to a new wireless keyboard, but it seems that im getting the same issue again. This time though i got 2 blue screens few hours apart. I believe that they are both regarding the new wireless keyboard. I did a fresh windows 7 install when i upgrade to the new keyboard. Anyway i would really appreciate is someone could have a look at the two dump files.

It sounds like you may have a bad usb port on your motherboard or on the systems case, does this happen when you switch the usb port or does it happen with all of them?

the logitech wireless adapter is pluged in the back of the motherboard ( usb 2.0) slot. I have changed it to another usb 2.0 port. I only have 2 unused 2.0 ports left, if i get it again on this port i guess i can switch to one of the 3.0 ports available.

The thing about the BSOD is that i have never gotten it while using the pc. I always seem to get them when I'm away from the thing. I have it set so that the pc goes to sleep after 30min of inactivity. When i restart the computer, I get the windows has not been shutdown properly message. Followed by the desktop message Widows recovered from a crash.

Update:
I think i solved the blue screen issue, switched to usb 3.0 ports have not had any issues for the last week. Will test it out a bit longer if everything is ok, will mark thread as solved.

I thought that my blue screen issue was solved my switching to a usb 3.0 port. But its back again, Im thinking that it still the keyboard,(or it could be something else.) If someone could have a look at the dump file that would be great.

Do you have any usb storage devices connected? hard drives or pendrives?

i do have a external harddrive and some flash drives that i plug in occasionally (front usb 3.0 port) but to be honest i cant remember if they were plugged in at the time of the BSOD. I did leave the computer in sleep mode overnight and i was able to wake it up without any BSOD (usb hdd connected), because the BSOD always seems to happened while the PC is in sleep mode.

So could it be a USB storage device that's causing the BSOD i took a look at the dump file (finally installed windows SDK) before i saw your reply and i was wondering what USBSTOR was, didnt think of usb storage (lol)

It could be, disconnect them one by one and see if you still get the BSOD.

i will try, its so frustrating because the BSOD is so random. I have no bsod for a week or two then its back. (but it always seems to happened while in sleep mode).
