Hello everyone,

I have a Dell inspiron 15 (1500 series) which came with Windows 8. (bought 6+ months ago) As Windows 8 and my 5400 RPM hard drive was killing my machine, I installed a Intel 180GB SSD 520 series and downgraded to Windows 7.

I started having BSOD issues and not sure where to go from here.

KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
STOP: 0x00000007A
bowser.sys

I searched the web and can't find a solution and would need someone to help me read the dumps.

I've installed the latest drivers from Dell and Intel, there was no AV installed when it started and it was a brand new Windows install.

SSD details:
Intel® SSD 520 Series (180GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 25nm, MLC) Specifications

PLEASE HELP

I'm not convinced you are running a genuine copy of Windows.
I have seen the product ID several times, even though it is from Dell and your manufacturer is Dell.

Hi Axe0,

thanks for your response. I greatly appreciate it. I upgraded to Windows 10 and the machine is very very fast. I will contact Dell to get a new copy of Windows 7 and try and reinstall it.

Windows 10 is meant to be very fast fortunately :)

While you're in Windows 10, please check Dell for driver updates compatible with Windows 10.
I've noticed that the drivers might give some problems :(
