Hi

After succeeding in installing the win updates I encountered a BSOD. This happened after the windows 10 upgrade appeared (and I activated license). I haven't had a BSOD in the couple of days of installation so it seems strange.

I was having problems with BSODs before which was why I reinstalled windows.

Thanks for help

Hi No mo,

Please check Windows Update, install every update available, it may take a couple of times to get them all.

An Avast driver has been flagged.
As always, it is recommended to check for software updates :)

You might want to read the OP again, specific the first part.
The OP had a BSOD, today actually as the OP says.

Received another BSOD.

Also installed daemon tools lite.

Still using avast.

Firefox is crashing a lot. Don't know if that's related though.

Added new dump files and system info on this post.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

  1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
  2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
    • Double click the executable to open it
    • Click on the button shown below

34700d1440923396-bsod-0x124-whea_uncorrectable_error-nothing-works-a887c9d9e7.png

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please uninstall Avast while troubleshooting
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/343783-avast-uninstall-completely.html
Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for aswSnx.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for aswSnx.sys

Lets keep this in mind.
The tcpip.sys driver is related to the network, this could mean the network drivers or a 3rd party driver connecting to the network is causing issues.
If uninstalling Avast doesn't help much, a next step would be to update the network drivers.

I tried installing some optional updates from win update. Windows didn't want to start. Windows repair began and then startup repair ran twice but couldn't fix it. I did a system restore through windows repair and was able to get back into windows somehow.

How many updates are there currently?
I recommend to first read their description so you are aware of any changes they make.
Also, before installing always backup first and install them in phases.
