BSOD New installation - windows updates

Here is how I would install them
  • Create a restore point prior to installing any of them,
  • Run SFC,
  • If SFC gives the message that there is no problem, install 1 update,
  • Run SFC,
  • If SFC gives the message that there is no problem, install 1 update,
  • Run SFC,
  • If SFC gives the message that there is no problem, install 1 update,
  • etc.

Diagnostics Test

 System File Check

Please try following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

Hi,

Like you I am a newbe here ,so I don't claim to be a techie .However , after suffering with BSOD s every 2 to 3 minutes for 3 months ,and spending hundreds of dollars and hundreds of hours trying to find a solution and just about ready to spend up to $1000 on a new desktop computer , a kind soul in this forum made a simple suggestion that took only 4 clicks on my browser that solved my problem immediately.

This may not work for you ,but you really have only 5 minutes of your time to lose.In my case I explained that I could play HD Video on my hard drive (HD fullscreen 285MB for 36 minutes ) without any problem but through the internet ,I got the constant BSOD's.He suggested the following:

" What ever browser you're using disable hardware acceleration in it "

Through a Google search ,I found the following and bingo ;););) !!!!

Try it and let me know if it worked for you.

========================================

Let me fix it myself

To disable hardware acceleration, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Internet Explorer or other browser.
  2. Click the Tools icon in the upper-right corner, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Accelerated graphics, select the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering check box.

    2685831.png
  4. Click Apply, and then click OK.
  5. Close Internet Explorer and then restart it so that the change takes effect.
To enable hardware acceleration again, follow the previous steps, but in step 3, clear the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering check box.

Did this fix the problem?,,,hope so!!
