I was in Photoshop editing some photos, and was chatting with someone on Skype when suddenly I got a BSOD. The computer restarted before I got a chance to read what the BSOD said, but I did make sure to run a scan after the computer came back up. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.

I've had consistent issues with this damned webcam... pretty amazing how a driver for something as stupid as a webcam can BSOD a computer :P

I've poked around a little trying to find the appropriate driver for the USB 3.0 port (ASMedia XHCI Controller) and I've found a few sites pointing to here:

ASMEDIA drivers & firmwares

Just want to get somebody's take on how legit this seems. I've admittedly never updated any drivers for controllers before so I don't even know what to look for.

well, Drivers are the one which communicates between the hardware and the OS. If the drivers are faulty or some sort, the OS become confused, hence BSOD

Basically, we would prefer to download drivers issued by whether the Hardware Manufacturers or The OEM Webpage....

That's totally fair. So I guess the real question is - where would I find something as obscure as the Asmedia USB 3.0 Driver? The page you linked to has a whole bunch of links for information, but no real identifier for picking out the device or the driver needed.
