HIya folks, new to the forum.

Im not very computer savvy, and I think ive followed the instructions clearly.

My PC - Acer Aspire x1430 was having the odd, maybe once every few BSOD. At first I didn't know what was going on.

Anyway it started happening mnore frequently, it could happen staright away as soon as my desktop had started, or it could take a few hours.

I was getting two, one said bad_pool_Call and the other somehting about Less_Than_equal

I found a page on the windows website that told me to try Start>control panel>system security>review computer status.

It did say something about a driver for videos, but when i tried to download the file to reinstall the driver it was telling me, it was saying "not compatible with system configuration".

Someone I work with, who claims to know a thing or two about computers told me to try returning the computer to factory settings.

I have done that, but it's still happening.

I was also told to try re installing windows 7, but I either don't have, or never had the disks, so I can't unless I go out and buy it. (which I would if it would definately fix the problem)

Anyway, I have followed the instructions, downloaded the program instructed and ran it.

I don't know if ive done it correctly, but here goes.

If I have done it wrong, I do apologise, as I said, not very computer savvy.

Hi Koolkat.

Everything seems to be fine now.

After I did everything you told me too, it was fine for 4 or 5 days, but it again crashed, with the Driver_Less_Than_Equal.

I had a look at my drivers, to see if any needed updated.

quite a few did.

As I worked my way down the list I came across a driver, with a yellow exclamation mark, that id never noticed before.

It was the following:

"Portable Devices: F:\

WPD Filesystem Volume Driver"

It had an error code of 19, saying it had failed, and the registry maybe be damaged.

After a quick search on your forums, I found a thread that said I should Uninstall the driver, and when I rebooted the computer, the system would re install it itself, it did, and ive been about a week free now of crashes.

Do you think this could have been the problem all along??

Anyway thanks so much for your help, it's very much appreciated, have a cyber pint on me.

My friend is also having bluescreen problems, so i've showed him how to download and use the forum program and upload it, im sure he will be in touch.

Only problem is, he does a lot of, ahem, torrent downloading, and I think that's goosed his system.

Anyway, thanks so much again, you deserve a medal for what you do on here.
