Hi there!

First of all, congrats for this amazing forum, it helped me alot before!

Regarding my BSOD's, they have always happened but in a spontaneously way so I didn't care much, now whenever I try to play any kind of game, after 5 to 10 min I get BSOD! I formated the laptop from windows 8 to windows 7 and it still happens. It's still on warranty but I'm not very fond of not having my main computer for at least a month.

The details are on the attachment.

Thanks in advance for you amazing support,
Daniel Correia.

EDIT: When I had windows 8 the BSOD, name it got was WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, but it's now changed.

EDIT2: I've done several "fixes" regarding the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, to no avail.

Any question you need to clarify about my issue, I'll reply asap!

Hello ComputerUser201, Welcome to Seven Forums. I will try to help you with this. You have 2 Dump Files both dated 10/26 Both files show an 0X124 error, which is a generic hardware error but it gives no indication of what that hardware is. When you switched to Windows 7, did you download Windows 7 Drivers for the OS? The Windows 8 drivers won't work well in most cases. Please go to your Manufacturer's web site and download any updated drivers for Windows 7. Also, please go to device Manager and see if any have a yellow icon on them or a Grey exclamation mark on them. If you find one, those are the drivers you need to update, but update the Chipset drivers for sure.

After you have done that, make sure you have run and installed all Importany and Recommended Windows Updates. Install any you have, then after that is completed and you reboot, go back to Windows Update and click the button in the left column to check for new updates. Continue doing that until it says no new updates.

After updating your drivers and the Windows Updates, please open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

See if this helps you. The 0X124 error can be caused by either bad hardware or a bad driver which causes a piece of hardware to act in unexpected ways and the OS assumes the hardware is faulty.

Please try that and let us know what happens. Hopefully you will see some improvement.
