Hello. I'm having a problem with my Windows partition and would greatly appreciate suggestions for a fix.

I am trying to get my Windows 7 partition running again after it failed to start-up one morning and has not started up again since. I cannot get the Windows installation disk or other recovery tools to even load to the repair screen. The only joy I've had was with an ERD commander environment but even this didn't recognise the windows installation was there :(

The odd thing is that the hard drive in question still starts up OK with my Ubuntu partition so I dont think the disk is failing...

Thanks very much, suggestions are very welcome.

You did not give us much information. In fact not even the reports. Based upon your description and the BCode ED, I would guess you have a bad hard drive.
I do understand that you cannot give us the reports, due to the problems that you are having.
