Hi All

I have a Windows 7 laptop (11 months old) and have had no trouble until last week when i tried to download the new IOS 4.2 for my Ipad.I left the PC running, and downloading the file fine, but when i returned, the screen was black with a message saying disk cable loose, no bootable options:sarc:

I rebooted the PC, and now every time i try to dopnload a file from the internet that is bigger than a couple of MB, it crashes to a BSOD and i get the following failure in Event Viewer:

I've ran chkdsk and it came back fine and also checked the harddrive is plugged in properly (which it is)

Any ideas?

System has Windows 7 x64, 11 months old (same as laptop) and is OEM as came preinstalled.

This is the second install - about 2 months ago the system began running really slowly after it wouldn't wake up from hyibernate status. Used the Acer E-Recovery tool (Alt & F10) and carried out a clean install.

System has been running fine since then until it crashed downloading IOS 4.2 file for my Ipad.

Anti Virus is MSE (all up to date in terms of virus definitions)

Let me know if you need anything else - appreciate your help!

Hi

Been checking and it doesn't look like a have a Minidump folder:confused: or a Mem.dmp file.

I've checked to make sure system is configured as per the pcicture to capture a Minidump and it all appeared to be there except for the fact mine was capturing kernal rather than the 'Small Memory Dump'. Changed the settings and restarted but still no MiniDump folder.

I've reran the tool and uploaded again - let me know if i am doing something wrong which is a distinct possiblity:)

Cheers

Billy
