BSOD while playing DOMO and even simple browser games (Error 124)

I was going to post the link to Adobe so you could download fresh versions of Reader and Flash (if you use it) but I'm having trouble with the site. Every page I navigate to goes into a reload loop every three seconds.

Try adding back ONE of the others in your startup. (Not Adobe)

I was going to do what you told me but I had to move my laptop. While moving it, the Internet stopped working for some odd reason. And then it froze up on me twice. I've had this issue before, even the smallest lift before would cause it to freeze. But I thought that issue was gone months ago.

Sounds like something is broken or loose. Did you drop it? Or bump something plugged into a USB port? No amount of software will fix damaged parts.

I haven't dropped or bumped it in over a year. It once had a little bump while in my bookbag in 2013. It wasn't anything serious and it was 100% ok back then. I even sent the laptop to a repair shop this year in April and they opened it up supposedly and said everything is fine...

Should I delete the ones I have now?

Thanks for reporting back. If your not having problems with Reader or Flash there's no need to download them. I think I offered them just in case. If you do want to install fresh copies then yes, Uninstall the old, reboot, then install the new.

Just a question. I'm about to send my laptop back to the ones who attempted to fix it before. They helped with the heating issue before and I have a 90 day warranty where if my problem still persists, they fix it with no charge.

What would cause a computer to freeze when picked up? It doesn't occur all of the time but if I carry it for a while in my hands while it's running, like I move from my desk to my bed (yes, there's something underneath it. I don't put it on the bed), it would freeze up eventually - wifi icon says no wifi available in area, mouse slows down, then it all freezes. My laptop is rarely moved from my desk or taken to school because it's kinda heavy and I rather just use the computers in the libraries. So I didn't hit it or drop it. They also had opened it up to clean it and reapply paste and didn't see anything wrong with what's inside. I've had this problem for a while as well, probably even late last year. I cant remember exactly when it started.

Sounds like the motherboard or a port may be cracked or something is loose. Lifting may be flexing it enough to open a trace or cause a short. There's really no way to catch this in-progress with software so a complete examination of PC would be necessary.

And that would cause a blue screen? I just want to know if it's connected.

It could or could not. It depends on where the problem occurs. Windows has a hardware error code (0x124) but it has to live long enough to produce the code. If the machine just freezes or dies, a reboot will generate a different error code. This will most likely be a Kernel Power Fault or similar.

I see. I'll take my laptop in tomorrow or Thursday and tell them about that issue. But I don't know if it's related to the blue screen. They opened it up before. I would think they'd notice an issue like that but maybe not.

Just wanted to let you know. I haven't had a BSOD or freezing or any wonky activity since mid June. I'm sure the issue is resolved now. Thank you so much. But I do have one more question.

I'm thinking of upgrading to Windows 10 after reading about it and watching some videos on youtube. I kind of want to do a clean install with Windows 10 just in case. But that would mean I would lose my Microsoft Office right? It came preloaded into the computer so I don't have a CD for it and I love Microsoft Office. Is there a way I can keep Microsoft Office even with a clean install or get the product key?

Also, if not, can I have Windows 10 burned on a CD (legally of course) or something for later use in case I want to perform a clean install?

Easy, just backup the Office files to a drive, USB, external drives etc and backup your key. After you've done a clean re-install put the office files back into Program Files (x86) where they belong and make a shortcut in to the desktop. Launch Office, it's either gonna ask for a key or just let you right in as it is already activated.

How will that work with the ~10,000 missing Registry entries that Office won't have? That procedure seldom works. (Copying programs without installing.)

That applies to ALL installed programs, not just Office. Part of installing software registers the programs and sets up various classes, parameters and default options for each program/module. Office is not what we call "stand-alone" software. There are many utilities and programs that do not require installation and can be run in-place but Office is not one of them.
