Today I have been trying to do a repair installation of windows 7 since I cannot stand getting anymore bsod's. I went a week without one and boom more consistent since Saturday. Anyways I have been trying to do the upgrade/repair install listed on this forum and to no avail. Everytime I get past the compatibility part, it tells me about my film scanner not working which I know it will, and then uninstalling ATI Catalyst install manager which I had already done earlier. After getting back to it tonight, I can't even get past the second part of windows installation. I believe it is the setup programs, etc. It tells me that setup is unable to complete because I need to restart and then restart installation and when prompted check for the latest updates. I thought it had already been doing that the past fifty times!!! Please help. I may be slow in responding since its close to bed time.
Thanks
Dave
I hope I can get some help. Here are two of the five in the last few hours. Thanks for help.
