Hello there, I'm having a few problems with my computer that I've been unable to figure out on my own. Starting a few months ago my computer began getting a few BSODs, typically while playing The Sims 3. Over time the computer would also restart on it's own with no BSOD, or sometimes just freeze completely. And even when I do get a BSOD, it's not always the same error. Now it happens even when I'm not gaming, and it occurs roughly every other day or so. In fact today I had 3 incidents where the computer seemed to shut off completely. The 3rd time it did that, the fan came on afterwards as if the computer was trying to restart, but that was it. Needless to say I'm a bit concerned and confused as to what's causing the problem.
If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated. I've included an attachment with everything this thread says I would need.
Just a bit of a heads up:
- Windows XP was originally installed, I installed Windows 7 last August or September
- The computer as a whole is roughly 3.5 years old, though some bits(like my sound card and video card) are newer
