Cable Management Pictures

Freakin awesome installations. Just built a wicked system and it's clean but the wiring not so much. This coming from an audiophile that takes wiring a audio system to new heights. Thanks for the visual swift kick in the ass guys.....I'm already planning my next build!

I need to get a new DVD writer first as the one I got was from my old machine and has one of those horrible ribbon cables which just gets in the way.
You can go with the round IDE cables like I did. They are actually really easy to conceal in a newer case.

Ohh cool I did not know you could get them :)

Just finished putting my main system back together, not liking the red sata cables; just ordered some blue ones to go with the sleeveing job I did on all the case panel wiring.

Have a CM PSU with flat cables so I might toss that in. I think it looks kind of nice for having 3 HHD and 3 ODD installed.

One thing I like is some of the newer cases have evolved into taking cable management into consideration more and more, along with the cutouts for replacing CPU coolers without having to remove the Motherboard. Some of the newer cases have slots with rubber covered cutouts that allow you to put most of you cables in specific spots coming in from the back panel. Cable management is essential for increasing the air flow in your case. Nice job. Fabe

I personally wouldn't spend $300 on a case but it is a nice case. I agree with you linnemeyerhere on the space age cases.

I totally understand. But now that I've built my first system, dreams of what could have been are dancing as they say in my head. The reality is the case is a vital component and if purchased wisely it will keep going well past mobo changes and the other components. My current case is a $70.00 case on sale all day long for $50.00 and it totally works but in hind sight I should have thought before installing the mobo about additional cooling and cable routing. I realize now just how important these little things can add to the pleasure (term used loosely) of computing. Dreams of a ribbonless install, tri-sli, 6 sticks, powerbridges, hot swapping, 140mm fans running near silent, water cooling and total case filtration all will be added to the next build. Now if the economy will just kick start so we can all get back to making money and driving our small businesses!
